  • As you listen to the sentences below, you will hear a metronome tap the rhythm.
  • If you have a metronome, use it to help you practice the rhythm of English pronunciation.
  • Vary the speed if you wish, but remember-- Clarity is more important than speed when you speak.
  • *Notice: Although there are an increasing number of syllables in each of the sentences below, they take the same amount of time to say, and the same syllables are stressed. This is because the sentences all have the same number of stressed syllables.
